Napoli's Ezequiel Lavezzi insists he does not know exactly when his proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain will be finalised.
The Argentina international revealed on June 18 his move to the French capital was 'a mere formality', but the reported deal worth 26 million euros is yet to be completed.
Lavezzi is remaining coy on the state of play but insists his time at the San Paolo will come to an end imminently.
"I don't know much about the negotiations," he told
Il Mattino. "My agent is managing them. But from Napoli I will carry the extraordinary affection of the people in my heart.
"At times, they did not permit me that affection, but that makes the city special. At the beginning of my Neapolitan period, there were some who turned up their noses at me, said I was too chubby, but then I earned some credit and sympathy among the people.
"Napoli has propelled me forward and given me a great standing on the international stage."
It has been rumoured in recent days that PSG are also keen on signing on Lavezzi's team-mate Edinson Cavani, but the 27-year-old says he has not heard anything about the Uruguayan joining him at the Parc des Princes.
"I would not know but I know that Edi is very happy at Napoli," Lavezzi said.
The winger, who has been capped 18 times by his country, joined Napoli from San Lorenzo in 2007.
